Integrated OHS Management System

The management of occupational health and safety and the identification and control of hazards can be complex. However, there is a method available to share the workload and allow management and employee safety representatives to have meaningful consultation.

The International Quality Standard ISO 9001:2008 Quality management systems — Requirements is now based upon a ‘process’ model rather than a series of headings

In the newer version of the standard, the ISO attempted to address many concerns and criticisms of ISO 9000:1994. Under the 1994 version, the question was broadly "Are you doing what the manual says you should be doing?", whereas under the 2000 version, the question is more "Will this process help you achieve your stated objectives? Is it a good process or is there a way to do it better?“

The Integrated safety Management System satisfies the new ISO approach to quality management
